Vaccine for the prevention of influenza GC FLU, №10

Immunological and biological properties.

The GC Flu Quadrivalent vaccine is prepared from virus grown in the allantoic cavity of chicken embryos, inactivated with formaldehyde, and then diluted in saline with phosphate buffer to the desired concentration. The strain composition of viral antigens contained in the GC Flu Quadrivalent vaccine is in line with WHO guidelines for the 2021-2022 season. The GC Flu Quadrivalent vaccine causes the formation of antibodies and protects against the clinical manifestations of the disease through vaccination. Because the influenza virus is variable and its antigenic properties change significantly from time to time, the protection afforded by the GC Flu Quadrivalent vaccine is limited to the strains from which the vaccine is made or to closely related strains. In general, seroprotection is achieved within 2-3 weeks. The duration of immunity after vaccination depends on the vaccine strain and usually lasts from 6 to 12 months.
